Hey everyone, do you know what my favorite summertime drink is? If you guessed lemonade, that’s right! Today I’m going to make some fresh-squeezed lemonade with a bit of mint leaves.
It’s great to make your own lemonade so you can add however much sugar you want to it. For this recipe, you’ll need:
6 lemons
1/4 cup sugar
Some mint leaves
Water

First, we are going to juice the lemons. Actually, I am going to delegate this juicing job to someone else and just watch.
In a saucepan, add the sugar to 1/2 cup of water and let it dissolve.
Now add the simple sugar syrup, lemon juice, and 6 cups of cold water to a pitcher. Taste it and adjust the water ratio to your liking, or add more sugar if you want it sweeter!
Take a few mint leaves and smash them a little bit in a mortar and pestle. Put the mint leaves in a glass with ice cubes and serve!
Oooh yum! This lemonade is so tasty. You know what? It would go really well with some cookies… I wish I had some —
Oh! Honey graham bears! Thanks mom!
